VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

So far we have 8 volunteers for the 30th annual Elk/Beaver Ultras and we could do with at least 6 more particularly in the busier portion of the race between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.  A big thank you from Darcy Kernel, Race Director, to Martha McNeely, Chris Kelsall, Catherine Davis, Mike Emerson, Sharon Emerson, Mark Colegrave and Bob Reid for signing up already to help at the event on Saturday May 13.  The main tasks include timing and food for participants and all volunteers receive the official E/B 2017 technical race shirt.  Although the numbers may be smaller than any other race that the club hosts, Elk/Beaver usually generates a handsome race profit which benefits all Harriers with subsidies for wilderness runs, travel assistance and food at social events such as our club meetings, summer barbecue and annual awards night.  If you can spare a few hours on May 13, it would be much appreciated!
