Date: Monday, September 4, 2017 (Labour Day)
Location: Scafe Hill and Stewart Mountain
Duration: 1.5 Hours (It was an "Old School" 1.5 hour hike that took another half hour to get back to the barking lot).
Features: 4 different Viewpoints and 4 Brand New trails. Views of downtown Victoria, Esquimalt Harbour, Mill Hill, Seymour Hill, Mount Douglas, Mount Work, Bear Mountain, Skirt Mountain Mount Finlayson and the Olympic Range. A swim for the dogs in McKenzie Lake and swimming and paddle boarding for the dog masters and mistresses following the hike. It was 33 degrees with bright sunny weather, the highest recorded temperature for any Labour Day in Victoria!
Participants: A record number of 26 hikers attended (18 two-legged and 8 four-legged) Bob, Jeff, Andrew G., Larry, Chris, Walter, Doug, Lara, Shannon, Val, Christine, Martha, Elaine, June, Louise, Adele, Fiona, Lisa, Abby, Bebe, Bandit, Scout, Java, Guiness, Katie and Maisie.

Cold drinks after the Hike: At Bob's wharf including home made apple and strawberry/rhubarb pies, baked chocolate chip cookies, watermelon and plum/blueberry crumble.
Next Harriers Hounds Hike #5 (Final HHH of the year): Mount Newton, Tuesday December 26, 2017 (Boxing Day). Duration is 90 minutes then we join the Harriers 10 Mile Handicap runners for breakfast at the Prairie Inn Neighbourhood Pub at 11:45 am. Please Note: This HHH meets at the P.I. Pub at 10:00 am for car-pooling to Mount Newton. Merry Christmas!
